4th of July Weekend

We spent a day hiking at Bloomington Lake. There were quite a few people there because of the weekend, but no one was ambitious enough to hike where we did, so it was nice a quiet on top of the mountain.

Its always a little difficult to get a picture together when its the two of us and a dog!

This is our tree from last year. We found the same spot.

I love this picture of Danny and Brody. It was so calm and quiet up there.

I had to put this one in because it shows off Danny's big muscles! I'm engaged to one hot guy!

The next day we went boating with Miriam and family. First time out on the boat this year, and the water was COLD! Even by Bear Lake standards. Little Jaxon didn't like the life jacket much, it smushed his chubby cheeks!

Brother and sister...so cute.

West Fork Mink Creek Trail

The west fork trail was so green! I guess that is the only benefit of rain the first 3 weeks of June!
It did rain on us a little, but it was still a fun day.

Danny hates to smile in pictures!

Turns out Brody doesn't have such good balance on logs. He had a rough time with it, but we finally got some pictures.

New Ceiling Fan

Its strange what excites you when you get older. I forgot to take a picture of the old fan before I lovingly threw it in the garbage can, but if I had, you'd realize why I was so excited to get a new one. I know what you are thinking Mom, I was a little nervous by Danny's set up too. This is the entry way and it is higher than it looks. That is the top of the front door. He has better balance than I realized!

The final product is beautiful. You did a great job Danny!

Abby and Tate

We were visiting with Danny's family on Sunday and I caught these two on camera playing the piano. It was lovely music and they played so well together.

Our Sad Sad Mailbox

I've hated this mailbox for a long time, and luckily it is finally falling down. It's looked like this for a few days now and it is just sad.

It's finally time for a new one. More pictures to come.

Moab!

The Canyonlands Half Marathon was a great time even though I didn't get the time I wanted. I finished in 2.04:46, the longest 2 hours of my life! I was number 1467 of 3284 people who finished the race. And as predicted, Brookney kicked my butt in her first half marathon. It was a beautiful course along the Colorado River and was a good 70 degrees outside. I was definitely not used to the heat!

The day after the race, instead of relaxing, we went on a pretty rough mountain bike trail on the famous slick rock. It was nothing like any trail in Idaho.

The boys aren't in any of the photos because they were serious about their biking, while Brookney and I took our time and had a nice ride out of it. They waited for us at the top and we all went for a short hike to check out the view before coming back down.

Next was the site seeing. These are petroglyphs near the Delicate Arch.

The Delicate Arch was about a mile and a half hike, that was well worth the effort.

Hanging out at the campsite.

Jackson Terry Taylor

Jackson is the newest addition to the Taylor family. He was born March 10th, 2009 and weighed 6lbs 7oz. With the big dog and 2 year old in the background, I'm sure it will be busy around their house!

We're Engaged!

Yes, we are finally engaged! It's so exciting. The date was December 30th. We had waited until then to open our presents because we had both been working all week. There was a little present on the mantle from Santa. The ring is gorgeous! I would post a picture of it, but a picture doesn't do it justice.
This is a terrible picture of me. I had just got done crying so that's why my face is so red!

We ended the day with a little champagne that Deb bought us for Christmas! No, we don't have a date yet. We keep telling people, "One step at a time!"
