Christmas in SLC

Ethan, Jaxon, Morgan, Abby, Tate, Miah, and Ryan all bundled up. Waiting for the train to Downtown SLC. Side note, Miah: "Am I still older than Abby even though she's taller than me?" So cute.
The Christmas lights were beautiful! But it was COLD! Not to mention the many Santa Claus running around downtown, some in their underware. Weird, and probably confusing to the kids in a couple ways!
Searching for different elves in the elf village.
Picture time! When all the cousins get together, there are always pictures.
Then there was ginger bread house making.
Ryan is 7 years old! Holy cow!
Happy Birthday to you!
The fairy wings were a huge hit! Do I know what little girls like or what.
Presents....
Presents...
And more presents! What a fun Christmas!

The Christmas season is here!

As always, I brought a tripod for a photo op.
We ventured to Knox Canyon again to find the perfect tree, even after the bad luck of getting stuck last year. The BLM guy said the conditions were worse this year, but he was wrong.
Brody is a weirdo.
All in all, a nice day and a successful trip.

There's a First for Everything

This is the first Pennington Family photo I can recall, and it was a good idea if I do say so myself! It may just be a new family tradition. 24 people at this Thanksgiving was a great turnout. Thanks Grandma!

This is NOT what I signed up for!

In August, when I signed up for this half marathon, it was 90 degrees and sunny. I know a couple people who have run the Just Cuz Half Marathon and have said how beautiful the weather is the first week of November... the perfect time of year for a race. Well, the weather didn't cooperate this year and it was snowing and 25 to 30 degrees! The start was at Crystal Summit and for the first several miles, the road was actually icy under my running shoes. The first 2 miles were also pretty steep downhill which made things a little tricky. Anyway, I survived. It must have been the superman costume.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle had just enough left to hold me off at the end.
Danny captured my time as I crossed the finish line. 1:46.42! A PR of almost 13 minutes for me! After the race I had a hard time talking, my lips were so numb! My hands were pretty frozen too.
Deb was of course dressed as her hero Rocky and Justin reprised his role as the beer fairy, running all 13.1 miles with fairy wings and a tutu.
I had an awesome training partner, Ashley, on the left. She did great! No one would ever suspect that this was her first Half Marathon. On the right, my friend Hillary. This was also her first Half Marathon. She claimed for years that she couldn't run farther than a 5k! Maybe she will listen to me next time I try to convince her of something!

Borron Family Medicine

I am so proud of my friend Brookney! She is a nurse practitioner and recently opened her own office. I admire her ambition, focus, and intelligence and wish a little of it would rub off on me! Check out her new website www.borronfamilymedicine.com

Pocatello Marathon 10K

September 3rd was the Pocatello Marathon and I had a goal: 10k under 50 minutes. I failed. 50:13. Still pretty good, I think!

5th Annual Trip to McCall

We were so lucky and had beautiful weather the whole 5 days!
Dad still has the skills!
Kelsy was so close! Next year she will do great.First time on skis. I'm not sure, but I don't think your legs are supposed to be that far apart.
Danny had just as good of time as Dad. He has had to be nice to all the little kids on the tube this year and enjoyed whipping Dad around a little.
The cooks.
Danny is a great camp cook.
The wedding photo recreated. I remember looking better though! I may just make Danny do this every year for our anniversary.
This is Danny's friend, Mr. Cheezits. Clever. This ground squirrel is basically tame and ate cheezit after cheezit right out of Danny's hand.
Lounging around.
You always have to play cards while camping. I'm pretty sure Mom won this hand.
Can't wait for next year.

Oregon Adventure

Here are just a few of the photos from our Oregon Adventure. The first thing Abby had to do when she arrived was see the ocean.
Sand castles, sand castles, and more sand castles.
55 degree water is fun?
Crazy people.
I think this one had to go back.
No one lost their lunch! No one in our group, that is. We were waiting to get a picture of it.
Stacy and our feast.
Danny really getting into it. Pulling up crab pots looked like hard work!
Danny sees this sign and the shenanigans begin.
"Come hop the fence and hike down the cliff with me!"
Ok, this time he was right. Inside Devil's Punchbowl at high tide.
You always need sunset pictures.
We were so lucky that it was nice and sunny all week long.
View from the house. Rob and Stacy picked a great one! Thanks for planning a great vacation.
