Winter Adventure

Monday, we set out to get the perfect Christmas Tree. We were told by BLM that the tree cutting area was only accessible by snowmobile or snowshoe, but of course we had to try it anyway. We packed our warm clothes, camelbacks, snowshoes, and thankfully a shovel. It is almost like we already knew how this day was going to go...

Brody, of course, had no idea why Danny was shoveling snow and not playing with him.
Because of all the snow, it was pretty hard to know where the side of the road was! So we got ourselves high centered, and Danny started shoveling. And shoveling. And shoveling.
After more than an hour, we were free and happy that we weren't going to stay the night in the truck.

Even though we were no where near the approved tree cutting area, we were not about the drive all the way home without a Christmas tree. The owner will never miss it.

It's probably a good thing we didn't stay the night. By how much snow was coming down, we would probably be buried before morning!

The tree was secured, and we were on our way home. Whats a Christmas tradition if you don't have a few funny stories to tell!?

A Little Mermaid Birthday

Abby turned 3 years old on Halloween, but she did not want a Halloween party. She wanted a Little Mermaid Party. So that's what she got.
It's hard to lie about sneaking cake before its time to sing when the cake has bright blue frosting!
It think they have been caught!

Her very own Little Mermaid costume.

Now it is time to sing Happy Birthday.

Loving the blue frosting.

Abby and her new bike. It was a fun day that everyone needed.

I love so many of them, I don't know where to start.

Couldn't ask for a better background!

The Montgomery Family.

Brookney and Shawn

Mother of the Bride.
The entire group shot. Small, just the way we wanted it.
I'm so glad we went up to the point. The clouds were beautiful.
We made it through the day with no rain!

One of my favorites

I am so excited about how our wedding photos turned out! This one may be one of my favorites.

Happily Ever After

My wonderful friends made us the cutest sign for a wedding gift! I decided that above the front door was the perfect place.

Running, Running

The official finish line photo. I think I was looking at the timeclock.
Yesterday was the Pocatello Marathon. No, I didn't run the marathon, but I did run my usual 10K. I got a new PR of 53:20! Deb is much cooler than me, she ran the half marathon!
To my surprise, I actually placed pretty well too. I was 5th place among the women and 1st place in my age group! All in all, a pretty good Saturday.

Breaking the law, breaking the law!

These are the only photos of Camille's I'm going to post because I think they are so funny. Sorry Camille! So the story is, we were driving around the lake and the guys decided they wanted to jump on this rich man's water trampoline. Camille was the first one to strip off her clothes and jump in the water. Kelsy and I held out unwilling to trespass on this man's property. After much peer pressure and threats of making us swim across the lake and back to the house, we gave in. My parents were so disappointed in their two daughters! Not really... well at least I don't think there were!
Danny didn't hesitate to give it a try.
The evidence of the crime.
The slide was a let down.
I must plug my nose.
Kelsy decided to forget about the dumb slide.

The rebels and our trampoline.
