Snow and Lights Parade

We needed to use our Black Friday deals, which included snow pants and boots for Benson, so we went to play in the snow with the girls.
Benson mostly just stood in the same spot. We tested the boots at home and he can walk in them, but I guess the snow was just a little confusing!
Ellie loves a free ride, whether it's by wagon, by shopping cart or by sled!
The girls tried to teach her how to make a snow angel. She thought they were crazy.
Still standing in the same spot.
So much fun!
Then we had left over Thanksgiving for dinner and bundled up again to go to the parade. I now know what parents of little kids complain about with all the winter layers!
Waiting for the parade to start.
Benson refused to sit down, but didn't mind being all wrapped up in that blanket! It's a good thing too because he would not leave his mittens on for more than 5 seconds!

The moment that Stacy pointed out Elsa! Ellie LOVES Elsa!
And a mouth full of candy.

Snuggles

He's finally getting a little snugly! He's giving lots of leg hugs and even giving some smooches! When he's being sweet, Danny and I always say "Ahhh." Now he does too!

Lava Pool

This was our first time at Lava's indoor kiddy pool. It's just 30 minutes away and so much fun! There were lots of waterfalls, slides, squirters and fountains! So many fun things and warm water on top of that! We had a fun day with Stacy and the girls.

Despite the look on her face, she had so much fun.
Look at that pose.
Three hours later, both kids were exhausted and went to sleep as soon as we walked into the house!

Frozen

Ellie has finally caught on to the Frozen hysteria and this is how most of our conversations go:

Me: Come eat your dinner, Ellie.
Ellie: Mommy, can you say, come eat your dinner, Elsa?

Me: Ellie, let's go potty before we leave.
Ellie: Mommy, can you say, Anna, let's go potty?

Feeding Himself

That's the wrong end of the spoon, Bud.

Wind Storm

We get some wild ones up here.

16 Months

Books are more interesting than Mommy.

Ellie is more interesting than Mommy.

Looking out the window is more interesting than Mommy.

Too bad this kid can get off the little chair by himself! I'm never going to get any pictures now.

I am 16 months old and so much fun! I try and try to jump but never leave the ground. I stomp and go in circles to dance. I love to play feed mommy and daddy. I am more cuddly, give leg hugs, and even smooch people now. I have a fascination for opening and closing doors. I also copy Ellie with noises and movements. I have lots of new words like Beep, Beep, What's that?, Thank you, and Hi. I am getting tooth number 9, my first molar. I'm still a great sleeper, 12-13 hrs at night, but usually only one nap a day works out. My newest nickname is Bud.
This was the day of the silly faces, apparently.

 Benson is bored.
 Ellie's perma-grin doesn't look very natural!
Books are more interesting than Mommy for both of them.
