Christmas 10K Boise

Saturday December 19th, Brookney and I ran a 10K in Boise. It was a lot warmer than last year and there wasn't any snow! It would have been a pretty good race if there hadn't been a mile and a half long hill in the middle of it!
We were pretty proud of our cute tights! Of course we had cold weather tights under them!

ISU Santa Claws 5K Fun Run

We woke up the morning of December 5th to SNOW! And it continued snowing the whole 3 miles! We look full of energy in this pre-race photo. No after-race photos were taken! This was Hillary's first 5K and she did awesome!
The Meyer's make a family activity out of community races. I don't think I will ever get Danny to think its a good idea!

Christmas Tree Hunting

We cut down our Christmas tree in Knox Canyon again this year. It's a fun day for everyone, including the dogs! Danny tries to look tough, but the baby face fails him every time!

Brody looks confused every time we want him to pose for a picture!

Bogey likes to oversee the operation.

Its always a little tricky getting the tree secured to the top of the tahoe, but Danny always makes it work.

Zeitgeist Half Marathon

November 7th, 2009: Brookney's second Half Marathon

Brookney finished in under 2 hours! It was a perfect day for a run!

She looks pretty happy to be done!

Brookney's supporters: Way to go Brookney! You are awesome!

Halloween Spooktacular 5K

Saturday morning, 9am, Halloween. Some people don't understand why we get up to run in 40 degree weather... because it's FUN! There were some big hills in this one though, and they weren't that much fun.

Trevor, Deb, me, and Camille came out to run, dressed warm, and got passed by a bunch of 7 year olds! The race was to support the Pocatello group Girls on the Run, and man, some of those little girls were fast!

Deb's husband, Justin, was good enough to take pictures and laugh a little when he saw the hills we had to climb!

Halloween/ Birthday Party

Scooby Doo and the Monkey.
Halloween is FUN!

Stacy threw a great Halloween/Abby Birthday party this year. I think Halloween would be an awesome birthday, we'll see what Abby thinks in a few years!

Happy 2nd Birthday Abby!
These pictures are for Miriam. I am probably a little more reliable in the picture department than Rob is!

Popeye and Olive Oyl

Danny and I actually dressed up for Halloween this year. It took some convincing, but once he got the corncob pipe, Danny loved being Popeye! Do you think he will trust me again next year?

Fall Photos

We went for a hike up our favorite trail the other day. Danny didn't know I was going to turn the hike into family photo day! He was a pretty good sport about it though!

Our favorite bridge had fallen down! The sign at the bottom of the trail said they were trying to repair it though.

Brody loves to get out of the backyard!

Womens Fitness Celebration

Last weekend, Brookney and I ran the womens fitness celebration 5K. 12,000 crazy women were out at 8:00 saturday morning ready to run...or walk, or stroll. We ran from the capitol building up the hill to the train depot, and around to Julia Davis Park. We waited at the starting line for at least an hour, while the run itself was over in 25:41 for Brookney and me. It was a beautiful morning, perfect for a run. I am rarely up at 7 am, but this was worth it. Fun times with Brookney!
I have noticed in all my race photos I have a terrible scowl on my face. It may not look like it, but I really do like to run! I guess I'll have to live with the wrinkles on my forehead!

Pocatello Marathon 10K

The Pocatello Marathon was Saturday, Sept. 5th. I ran the 10K again this year and it was a great day for running: nice and cool. This was only my 3rd 10K, but it was my fastest yet. I finished in 54:10, which was surprising considering I never have much time in the summer to run. We're always gone camping and boating! These are my finish line photos.

3rd Annual Trip to McCall

Hanging out at Ponderosa Park.
Our Bike ride to the Overlook at the north end of the park.

Wishing we owned one of the mansions on the lake!

Boating with Mom and Dad.

Can't wait for next year!

Mt Borah

What an exhasting day! We had never hiked Mt. Borah, so we didn't know what to expect. We hiked for almost 6 hours that day!

The views were amazing!
Danny prides himself with his crazy hair. How crazy can it get before vacation is over?!
We finally made it to the tree line...then it only got harder!

We made it all the way to just below "Chicken Out Ridge" when I did just that! It was so windy with no trees to block it. We made it to about 11000 ft. Only 1500ft to go, but I couldn't do it! Jumping out of an airplane is one thing, but being blown off a cliff is so much scarier! The guys will have to go without me next time!

A little rain, a lot of wind, but all in all it was a pretty good day.
