Benson’s First Lost Tooth

He insisted on letting his tooth fall out instead of letting Daddy pull it, so it was just barely hanging on. He was pretty surprised to find the tooth in his mouth while he was playing with Ellie. It’s been loose so long that it didn’t bleed one drop!

Even though this tooth has been loose for several weeks, I still feel like I wasn’t ready for him to lose it! He’s almost 9 months younger than Ellie was when she lost her first one. Grandma got his Tooth Fairy pillow done just in time! He’s had it hanging in his room for one week and today he said “I FINALLY get to use my tooth fairy pillow!” So dramatic. He had Ellie write the Tooth Fairy a detailed letter asking for a prize instead of money. So we’ll see what he ends up with.

First Dance Class

She looks so much older this year! She went for the black leotard instead of her usual pink. Maybe that’s what looks so different. She didn’t want to give up the skirt though, and go for dance shorts.
It’s probably the lack of front teeth that’s throwing me!

Super Bowl Sunday

Can you tell Ellie wasn’t really into the game?!

7 1/2 and 5 1/2

I am 7.5 years old and more creative than ever. I am still a prolific artist, crafter, storyteller, and reader. I love to draw comic strips. I love to celebrate ALL holidays and decorate for them. I love dragons and make up different kinds and describe them at length. I also love to learn new things about science. I am great at math and pick up new concepts easily. I still walk around the house on tippy toes and say “Oh Daddy” when he teases me. I talk with a lisp now that my two front teeth are gone. My best friends are Livvy, Kennedy, Sophia, and Paige.

I am 5 1/2 years old and one smart boy. I am sounding out words and reading short sentences! I am getting more confident as things get easier for me at school. My parents are constantly amazed by my big vocabulary. My mom loves it when I call question marks “mystery marks.” I love to be the helper, especially when tools are involved. I am getting very creative with my legos, and play well by myself, but still want Ellie’s attention more than anything.
