Swimming

She calls it swimming, I call it cleaning out those dirty ears.

Soccer Season is Here

We went to the free ISU soccer clinic tonight at Holt Arena. It went just as well as I expected. Ellie had fun and that was the goal.
Practicing with Daddy before the clinic started.
She was definitely one of the youngest and smallest there tonight. She kind of hung at the back of the group. I was really impressed that she wasn't too intimidated with the number of kids and how big they were! Once she left us, she didn't care at all to keep track of us.
Benson had fun on the "pokey green soccer grass" as Ellie calls it.
She did a lot of carrying the ball around. She didn't want to lose track of her new ball!
The group was 7 years and under, but that's a big gap at this age!
Ellie hasn't put her ball down and insisted on taking it to bed, so I'm going to take a leap and say she had a good time.

Always a Hit

There are a lot of different bouncy toys at this place, but this seems to be the only one I can ever get a picture of either kid!
"This bracelet is for a bouncy house. It helps me bounce so I don't fall down."

Eggs

Ellie is the only one that didn't spill! And I'm not just talking about Benson.
Can't wait for the deviled eggs on Sunday!

Sleepy?

Kids are weird. Plus, he's just begging to be squished by the guy in the recliner.

Benson at 20 Months

This boy is 20 months old and had a doctor's appointment today. He is 26 lbs. (42% up from 37%) and 35.5 in. (99% up from 93%). Tall and skinny! I'm glad his weight is slowly creeping up though. Look at those ribs! Ellie was never as high as 40s at this age, but she wasn't nearly as tall either! He screamed and cried all the way from being weighed till he got dressed to leave. He was a sweaty, snotty mess in a warm little room! He apparently isn't fond of strangers, obviously hates shots, and we know he doesn't like being naked, so it was a rough morning.

Frozen Was Magical

We went to Disney on Ice: Frozen in SLC today with Aunt Stacy, Miah, and Abby. We told her the night before and gave her the Anna dress. Turns out we should have just waited till morning to tell her! Of course, she didn't want to take off the dress and go to bed. Live and learn.
She was excited before it even started.
It was fun to watch her face change. She was totally into the show.
She sang along with the songs and actually shed tears when Anna was hurt! She yelled so loud, she caught everyone's attention sitting near us.
I think she enjoyed herself!
Such a dramatic story.
Christophe and Sven
Elsa! Her big number was magical. :)
At intermission, we walked around a little and Ellie's choice was a princess crown.
The girls
The ice monster
It was sunny and 63 degrees in SLC when the show was over. On the way home we drove through torrential rains and 37 degree weather. Bummer.

It's Spring!

It's the first really nice day! Clear skies and no wind at all. Even before lunch it was beautiful.
Bikes.
Shovels and dirt.
Chalk!
Benson didn't last long with the chalk, but Ellie just kept going and going.
Sunshine makes everyone happy.

Animals

Ready for bed! Ellie's animals, dolls, and books have to be just right before going to bed. It seems like I remember needing to have all my stuffed animals at the head of my bed too, then would rotate which one I cuddled with! I was probably a couple years older, but it's fun to see that in her too.
