Lower Lewis River Falls

 

My favorite day of the trip was the last day! After Ape Cave, we drove another hour to this waterfall and swimming hole. There was a solid rock shelf that spanned almost the entire width of the river and was only about a foot deep. You could just sit in the middle of the river and watch the waterfall. Past the rock shelf the river was super deep and some people were cliff jumping off the top of the falls. The rock was crazy slick though, anywhere there wasn’t plants growing on it, which was interesting. It was plenty hot for swimming in the super cold river.
