First adventure: Elk Lake

Happy Birthday Ellie!

These three spent all day kayaking, floating, and breaking sticks with rocks. Kids are weird.

Danny and Jaxon briefly considered swimming across the lake to the lodge, but Jaxon chose to paddle board over instead for a cold drink on the 100 degree day.

We might need a little green kayak.

These three played together for two straight days.

One of the biggest highlights was Jaxon’s farm. 11(?) chickens, 3 rabbits, 2 goats, 2 dogs, 1 pig, and 1 grumpy cat. 

A low flying air balloon greeted us one morning. A squawking chicken at the screen door woke us up one morning.

Ethan and Kylie stopped by the store to pick up some birthday ice cream for a little celebration.

The kids spent a lot of time playing on Grandma Ginger’s piano.
