The kids needed wearing out before bed and it finally quit raining after two days!

We Made It!

 

All City Cross Country

 The city cross country meet was today and Ellie ran so well! She finished in 13th place! She finished 5th among 6th graders from Franklin and gets a medal! 

Cross Country

 

Race number one was at the Pocatello airport. She did well and was figuring out what she could do.

Race number two was at their home course at Franklin. She got a much faster start and finished much higher than last week. They ran all 6th -8th grade girls together and she placed 12th overall and 3rd? amongst 6th graders! Slower time but it was a much harder course. She says she actually enjoys the hills! I had several people comment to me that she’s always smiling, even when she’s exhausted!

She battled it out with this girl at the very end, but she was beat by a hair. Two more races, including the all city race back at Franklin.

First Day of School 2023

 

Two different schools this year! Benson starts at 7:55 and Ellie starts at 8:45.

Benson has Ms. Poppleton and is finally upstairs with the big kids!

They brought out the Washington Wolf for the occasion!

First day of middle school and first day of cross country! Such a big day.

Running Buddy

 

Last run of the summer with my running buddy. 2 miles with lots of hills behind the cemetery. She’s ready for cross country!

We were surprised how quiet it was hiking in the redwoods. No bugs and no birds, just quiet.
