3 1/2 and 5 1/2

I am three and a half and the pictures say it all! I am wild, defiant, and FUNNY! Best of all, I am potty trained and have been for several months now. I have also ditched my high chair and am using a booster chair. I am highly competitive, have an awesome Batman voice, love Legos, and if it’s possivle, am more obsessed with Hippo than ever! Like most boys, I love sticks and find them everywhere. I am a handful!

I am five and a half years old and I can read! I can also count to 100. I love school and my best friends are Livvy, Ryan, Paige, and McKayla. I love friends but also need alone time after school. I love Legos and I’m a great eater. I am Ellie Bs!

Picky Eater

Benson is a picky eater. The one silver lining to that is he would rather eat fruits and veggies than the main dish I make for dinner. Tonight he almost finished off an entire can of peas, refusing to even take a bite of the delicious chicken taquitos I made. Don't get me wrong, he's not a health nut. If he had his way, he'd eat a loaf of bread and any snack or sweet treat he could get his hands on.

First Sickness of 2018

Benson was the first to get sick, but while he had a horrible cough, he refused to acknowledge that he was "sick." He also doesn't show it like Ellie. When Ellie get really sick, you can see it in her eyes.

Ballerina

 Ellie hadn't been all that excited about dance class starting next month, until she tried on the outfit. Now she is always doing ballerina moves around the house and asks almost everyday if she can wear her ballerina clothes.

Parent/Teacher Conference

Ellie dressed up fancy for her Parent Teacher Conference today. Ms. Jensen, once again, had only great things to say about how Ellie is doing in class. She recently moved up another level in reading and is ahead of expectations in all areas!

Happy New Year

We spent New Year's Eve with the Montgomerys. We drove up to Bogus Basin to try out the brand new Mountain Coaster.

We each rode with a kid and could go as fast or slow as we wanted. All the kids did great and wanted to go fast!

Cheers to a grumpy Benson? Our kids had never stayed up much later than 9pm and with a 7:30 bedtime... well midnight was pretty late! They did better than I expected, but there were a couple meltdowns! They were very entertained so it went pretty well.

Ice Skating: Round Two

We had to get one more skate in before we had to return the skates at 2pm. Benson wasn't really feeling it this morning.

I am impressed with how both kids fell down over and over and just kept getting up. Especially Ellie. She didn't want any help today, just kept trying and trying.

Miah and Abby got there and Benson perked right up!

When he decided to, Benson could just stomp his way all the way across the ice. Funny to watch and amazing that he stayed on his feet!
