Haircut

Danny had a free haircut coupon from his last visit to Sport Clips so we decided to get Benson a birthday haircut! He did so well, as soon as he got a lolly pop!

Bear Lake With the Lusk Boys

I can't get enough of this awesome barn wood! I guess the kids are pretty good looking too!
Once again, a chilly day at the beach. Kids didn't seem to notice though.
So windy, his hair is standing up in every picture!

One happy boy

What a difference a little break in the clouds makes!

Lesson learned: kid seats next to each other is not worth a little extra leg room in the front seat!

Green!

Finally! A nice pretty, fenced yard with grass! Mostly thanks to Daddy, but also Uncle Dave, Ryan and Tate for help with the sod.
Ellie thinks it's pretty awesome.

Dump Truck

His bum is almost too big for his dump truck! That will be a sad day when he can't scoot around on the tile anymore on his truck.

Crashed?

She claimed she was making a snow angel. Weird kid.

Parade

We watched the parade with Aleshia and her little boy who we ran into at Fred Meyer the day before! Glad we bumped into her. And yes, I put the same clothes on them for the parade! They were only used for a couple hours on relatively clean kids last night.
The parade was full of balloons, dancers,  horses, policemen, and teenagers squirting water at everyone. It was great fun.
The kids sat nicely on their chairs and watched the action. The candy was a little distracting though.
You get a seat in front of someone's garbage cans when you show up a half hour into the parade! Lucky we got that though! The parade is a big deal in Pocatello, I guess. Luckily you couldn't smell a thing from the garbage can!
Benson got a high five from an officer riding by keeping people out of the street. It was his highlight.
The popsicles were pretty awesome too.
We had to walk a few blocks back to the car and these kids were being extra cheesy.

3rd of July

We made a last minute decision to do fireworks on the 3rd, as Danny thought he would be home way too late from work on the 4th for fireworks. So after dinner, I threw these dirty kids in the tub and then put on our red, white, and blue. The dirt in the yard is too hard to resist all day long.
We got tired of waiting for it to get dark, so we broke out the sparklers early just to see how the night was going to go. Ellie loved them, Benson, not so much.

 Killing time.
Benson seemed interested to begin with.
Then proved to be very disinterested.
Still loving those sparklers and still sticking out her tongue.

She was trying to be a big girl, but turns out, some are a little scary.

 Always safe behind Daddy.

Benson finally sat down and acted like he might like the show.

He definitely did not like the show.

 Why is he crying?
Benson finished out the last 20 minutes snuggling with Mommy. No nap and a late night probably contributed to the drama.
Can't resist making faces at himself!
