End of an Era

Ocar the humidifier owl inspired Ellie's love for all things owl. This is what happens when two toddlers are left in a room together. It's unclear what happened but he's leaking from more than one place so he's done. No more Ocar Owl. Sad day.

Someone has been redecorating the tree.

First Morning of Lights

First thing this morning, she wanted me to turn on the tree. Even without ornaments or even the top string of lights, still a cute picture!

Decorating

At least the little tree is done! Ellie excited or cold?

Still trying to figure out how to take christmas light photos with toddlers.
This one makes me giggle. The frustrations of a 1 year old.

Only one string of lights that didn't work right this year.

Christmas Treats

Ellie and I made white chocolate dipped pretzel sticks rolled in crushed candy canes for neighbor treats. The rolling was Ellie's job and she did great! After each one she held it up and said "Ta-da!" After Each One. We made close to 40.

As always, the Santa picture is a surprise.

Snow and Lights Parade

We needed to use our Black Friday deals, which included snow pants and boots for Benson, so we went to play in the snow with the girls.
Benson mostly just stood in the same spot. We tested the boots at home and he can walk in them, but I guess the snow was just a little confusing!
Ellie loves a free ride, whether it's by wagon, by shopping cart or by sled!
The girls tried to teach her how to make a snow angel. She thought they were crazy.
Still standing in the same spot.
So much fun!
Then we had left over Thanksgiving for dinner and bundled up again to go to the parade. I now know what parents of little kids complain about with all the winter layers!
Waiting for the parade to start.
Benson refused to sit down, but didn't mind being all wrapped up in that blanket! It's a good thing too because he would not leave his mittens on for more than 5 seconds!
Miah, Ellie, Abby, Drew, and Benson
The moment that Stacy pointed out Elsa! Ellie LOVES Elsa!
And a mouth full of candy.

Snuggles

He's finally getting a little snugly! He's giving lots of leg hugs and even giving some smooches! When he's being sweet, Danny and I always say "Ahhh." Now he does too!

Lava Pool

This was our first time at Lava's indoor kiddy pool. It's just 30 minutes away and so much fun! There were lots of waterfalls, slides, squirters and fountains! So many fun things and warm water on top of that! We had a fun day with Stacy and the girls.

Despite the look on her face, she had so much fun.
Look at that pose.
Three hours later, both kids were exhausted and went to sleep as soon as we walked into the house!
