Where's Bensie?

Late Morning

9 am and this boy is still in bed! Ellie had been up for 2.5 hrs and had already gotten dressed and finished breakfast!

I decided it was time to wake him up.

Poor boy has been sick so Ellie let him use Ocar the humidifier owl for a few days. Benson likes him too.

Benson's First Haircut

Benson got his first haircut! With the encouragement of "Brookie," and her clippers, we attempted to clean up this shaggy boy. We didn't do too much, mostly just shortened the sides and back. Daddy really didn't like the long hair hanging over his ears. We also trimmed the random wispy long hairs on top. That was my biggest complaint.

As soon as he got the granola bar, he didn't mind sitting there at all.

Although he looks pretty cooperative, it's still pretty difficult to cut a toddler's hair when he won't keep his head still, especially for someone who's never done it before!

Having had a few haircuts in his life, Daddy knew all about the details.

With that cowlick, his hair will always sweep to the side like that. It's much easier to deal with than Ellie's crazy cowlicks though! I think we did a pretty good job for a first try. Nothing could make this boy look any less cute. Not even an amateur haircut!

This Guy

Only a mother could love this face! Yep, that's dried snot ALL over his face first thing this morning.

He found his belly button!

Happy First Birthday, Maddax

Oof!

Ooh, look at this thing.

Maddax saw Benson eyeing his new toy!

Happy first birthday, Maddax!

He took a minute to really get into it.

Everyone loved the cupcakes!

Someone likes Mickey!

Someone else likes him too!

The kids were too sleepy by this time to smile. Everyone had too much fun!

Morning Cheese Ball

Trick or Treating

Happy Halloween Birthday Abby!

We started the party with presents.

Benson wanted in the stroller pretty bad.

Miah the peacock.

Group costume photo.

It was a pretty chilly morning. It's a good thing Ellie is at the age where she doesn't care if her coat ruins her costume!

Zoo Boo activities.

It finally started to get warm, although she's still wearing two long sleeve shirts and stretch pants under her witch tights.

Benson loved the Bears!

Miah won the costume contest for her age group of course! She kept whacking people with her feathers though!

Ellie was being a grumpy witch!

Coat back on after photo op.

Cousin photo!

Ellie is supposed to be this witch, and as an afterthought, Benson looks kind of like this cat too!

And finished with cupcakes!

Phew, naptime.
