She loves playing with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Kelsy! It's nice to see people other than Mom and Dad all the time!

6 months

I am 6 months old and I am wearing a cute little dress from Brookney. I weigh 14 lbs 7 oz, only 17th percentile, but am 26.25 in long, 62nd percentile. Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Kelsy visited this weekend so there were a lot of people to play with and lots of things to do. I have been eating cereal for a month now, but I just realized how much I liked it while Grandma was feeding me. I can pretty much sit up independently to play. I love to stand and dance if someone will just hold me by the hands. I am still in size one diapers and am now wearing all 6 month clothes. My parents are trying to break my binky habit, if I wake up without it I am not happy. I still need lots of naps, I only last about 2 hours being awake before I get really whiny and grumpy. My newest nickname from Dad is Bubblegum.

5 Months

I am five months old and it has been an eventful week. Opening Chistmas presents wasn't too interesting but I did get some pretty fun toys and some cute clothes. I spent my first Christmas in LaGrande at Great Grandma's house. I stayed in my first hotel and on the way home, got into my first car accident! I did not enjoy "playing bumper cars" as Dad calls it. Because of the accident, I ended up riding in the car for 1060 miles in 5 days! My nicknames this month include Sweetheart, Sweetie and Bug. If I'm on my back, I am always holding onto my feet and on Christmas Day I figured out how to get my toes into my mouth to suck on them. I just started cereal and it isn't too bad, just messy. I am a pro at rolling from my belly to my back so getting enough tummy time will be challenging. I can also sit up with just a little help. My favorite toy is my rainforest mat, specifically the rattle, but I just got a bunch of fun toys for Christmas that I'm sure I will like even better. I had to leave my coolest toy in Boise because after the accident, the rental Mustang did not have enough room for it. It barely had enough room for me! Turns out Mustangs are not family cars. Who knew.

She wasn't sure if she liked it or not, but overall I think it went pretty well. MUCH better than a bottle. Thanks for the cute bib Grandma!

We Can't be Good at Everything

Ellie has been rolling from her tummy to her back pretty well for a week now, but just tonight figured out how to roll onto her tummy from her back! On the downside, she is now absolutely refusing to take a bottle. You win some, you lose some.
