We walked the Seattle bay front.

The next morning we went up the Space needle, and even got to see the revolving glass floor!

 

Astoria

 

We climbed the Astoria Column, all 164 stairs of it.

The next morning we went to the Astoria Maritime Museum and went inside the lightship Columbia.

Ship Wreck

 

Next up was the Peter Iredale shipwreck of 1906 near Astoria. Ellie is much more willing to take photos than Benson these days.

Powell’s Books

 

The morning after the wedding, we headed to Portland and Miah showed us around Powells Books and helped the kids find some new series to read. Powell’s is three floors and takes up an entire city block. Miah loves books as much as my kids do!

Fun Run #2

August was the second 5k fun run of the summer and I told Ellie to leave me pretty early this time because she really wanted to beat her friend Kia. She was so close! It will be an interesting cross country season.

 

ISU Pillar Hike

 

We run from the cemetery to ISU, then hiked up to the pillars before running back.

Ellie’s First Job!

 

Ellie babysat the 1.5 year old next door for 3.5 hours today and is now exhausted! But the first time jitters are done now!

Baseball Champions!

Sliding home

6.5 hours, 2 games, 12 innings later, the Mariners won the championship! It was a long, hot Saturday, but Benson had his two best games of the season! He got a hit almost every time he was up at bat with several RBIs and several runs! They won game one against the Cubs 17-12 and game two 20-8.
