Easter

The Easter Bunny brought Ellie an astronaut Barbie!

Daddy never disappoints with his pancake creations. The dollop of vanilla ice-cream for the tail was definitely a hit.

Benson got upset because the plastic eggs were wet because of the rain. It was too much to handle. I got him back outside by telling him I found some eggs on Grandpa's truck.

Ellie had very little competition until I got Benson to come back out of the house.

The Easter Bunny brought a Lego ATAT for Benson.

We didn't realize why Ellie was running past all sorts of eggs during the egg hunt until her basket was filled. She was only picking up the pink, purple, and blue eggs!

Benson loves characters! Because of the rain, the Egg Hunt at ISU was much less crowded this year.
Despite the constant sprinkling, it was a pretty good Easter!

Eggs

Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Kelsy got the kids all sorts of fun Easter toys.

Aunt Kelsy's pretty flower pinwheels.
Grandma get climbed on constantly by these two.

So many pretty Easter eggs.

Slime

Oh, Aunt Miriam! What have you done?! It did get much better after we got it cleaned up. Now they are just nice balls of slime that surprisingly don't make much mess. Just making it was the messy part!

100 Book Reports!

Ellie finished her last three book reports tonight! She’s probably read five times that many books, but the reports weren’t as easy to get done! She’s done a month earlier than she needed to be though. Such a smart, motivated girl.

Haircut

When you have a melt down in the middle of a haircut, you get it buzzed! In a much better mood today, he thought he was pretty funny putting on Ellie’s shoes.

Pin #9

It was busier than we’ve seen Home Depot in a while. But we have two new birdhouses for Spring!

Spring Hike

Check out that view from Wiggle Worm Trail.

Don't worry, we brought water packs!
There were a lot of breaks...

Lots of mud and even some snow.

Field Trip

We went to Franklin Middle School to listen to their band practice. They are pretty good and even let the kids touch some of the instruments.

Beach Day!

Our last day in California, we went to Huntington Beach.

I should have known we needed swim suits right off the bat.
Under the pier was pretty cool.
There were so many sea shells to collect!

Burying yourself in the sand only appeals to kids, I guess.
