Our first Bear Lake trip of the year is always the best. Blue skies, calm water, and no one on the beach but us! Of course I took too many pictures, but with this gorgeous weather and these adorable kids, who wouldn't?
We have found out that for lunch on our first trip of year, it is a lot easier to bring sandwiches and have a picnic while Daddy mows. Nothing is open till Memorial Day and we've wasted lots of time searching for burgers and fries in the past. This was so much nicer! It is hard to resist the Bear Cave down the road when it finally opens though!
He must be hungry!
Oh, the barn is the ultimate playhouse and hours of entertainment!
The creek was high and fast, just like we assumed, so we stayed pretty far away from it this time. These kids of mine are awfully clumsy and bound to fall in!
Poor Benson gets to wear the same swim shirt and shorts as last year! It actually fits him better now anyway!
Benson found this drift wood, we named "the claw" and we thought it was going to be a fight about taking it home when we left. Luckily he finally put it down and didn't seem to notice.
This girl. Her new swimsuit takes me back to the 80s and she loves it! She told me one morning she wanted a swimsuit with hearts all over it and I delivered!
He is in heaven with a shovel and a bucket.
This mud/sand splatter reminded me of Tyson's tattoo! Funny that he didn't seem to care that he had mud on his face.
Kids love things that make mothers cringe. Like being FILTHY.
Action shot
Digging with the claw.
The water was so high, we couldn't even drive onto the beach. Its the first time I've ever seen that.
Trying to skip rocks like Daddy.
"What is that, Daddy!"
Booty shake dance
Checking out the wrinkly toes.
Flying
The snow on those mountains.
And of course, the group shot.
