Storm Troopers

My kids have no idea who the Storm Troopers are and neither do I, but when there is an opportunity to see characters in costume, we want to be there! We talked about it all day and Benson asked a lot of questions and had to be reassured that they were nice guys (not true?), and you can't see their eyes because they wear helmets.
Ellie acted much like she did with Santa. Smiled a lot but didn't want to turn her head and look who was behind her. He let her hold his gun!
These girls look like pros!
Benson was pretty nervous and took a minute to get close. But with the help of Miah and Abby, he did it. All the way home he talked about the witch guy with the red eyes that was scary. "We don't like him."

Christmas Carols

Today Ellie's preschool went to an assisted living facility to sing Christmas carols. All the kids were pretty nervous, I think, but they did really well. They were just very quiet singers!
They sang in two different buildings and both were so nice. One of the ladies wanted to keep all the cute little kids!
Ellie needed a little help handing out her Christmas cards, but she did a great job!

Wanna Build a Snowman?

Ever since the first snowflake fell, Ellie has been asking to build a snowman. Before today, it has been way too cold to make a snow ball, let alone a snowman! But today was perfect.
Daddy almost pulled a hami getting that second snow ball on top on the first.
Daddy and his creativity.

They just wanted to hug Olaf.
 What an awesome snowman!
Ellie learning how to make snowballs.
Benson fell down a lot.
Its a good thing they built the snowman when they did. By the time they came inside it was mostly raining and they were soaked. Today we took bets on how long before the snowman's head fell off! (He was leaning pretty bad.) For the record it was around 12:30!
Ellie picked out this Doc McStuffins doll for another little girl to have for Christmas.

More Snow

 Now what do we do?

What a bundle of snow clothes!

 This one makes me laugh!

You'd think it was a huge sledding hill, not the back yard!

Of course they played till after dark and till their cheeks were bright red.

Christmas Treats

We've got this thing down to an assembly line! White chocolate covered pretzel sticks rolled in crushed candy canes. We are making neighbor treats since our neighbors are already out knocking on doors!
Benson has a thing for white chocolate.
This girl is a great helper and still insists on wearing her kitty apron whenever we are making treats.

Sleeping!

This boy still takes a 2 hour nap every afternoon and still complains when I wake him up at 4pm! Silly boy says "sleeping!" when I try to get him up!

Visiting Santa

Even though Santa's eyes are closed, the first picture I took turned out to be the Christmas card! Our kids are pretty dang cute.
Ellie was a little shy and didn't want to talk to Santa, even though she ran to see him when we got there.
Benson told Santa he wanted a monster truck.

Ellie still talks about Santa's one elf that gave her a candy cane. Herberger's definitely beat out the Festival of Trees! We will have to remember that for next year.
