Memorial Day

We have to start by mowing the lawn. Ellie was more interested this time.
Sticks and digging
Climbing, always climbing
The creek was SO high this time, the rule was not to go past the fence.
Silliness
Thanks to Daddy, Uncle Rob and Aunt Stacy, it looks so much better!
As soon as we got to the beach, it was cloudy and windy! Completely opposite of last time!

Lucky girls in wet suits!

Jazz hands!
The sun came out for two minutes.
From happy,
to sad! He slipped and fell and that was the end of that. He finished the beach day wrapped in a towel, cuddling with mommy.

Water Break

I take a lot of photos of these kids. I also take a lot of photos each time, for several reasons. It's hard to get a good picture. With all the moving, a lot of them are blurry. I find it funny how fast their expressions change, and how fast their moods can change. Rarely are both kids good in the same picture.

Marker Mani

While I thought Ellie was being so good, coloring quietly at the kitchen counter, this was happening. She wanted to have pretty nails like Aunt Kelsy.

Landscaping

The landscapers were the most entertainment she'd had in a week, I guess!
She decided to get comfy.
Really comfy! Benson, of course, slept through most of the action, but watched from the upstairs window the next morning. Every time the bobcat left his view to get more dirt, I heard "Where tractor going?" So probably 20 times!

3 Hour Nap

Holy cow! She actually took a nap!

Yard Work

Mommy's favorite flower.
Ellie was helping plant the new tree. Benson misses all the fun during nap time!
Filling up the hole.
Relaxing in the grass.

Pin Wheels

All ready for Memorial Day with our bouquet of pinwheels for the cemetery. We will see how Ellie likes giving them all away. In the mean time, they look cute on our table.

Cuteness Overload

I was pulling weeds and look over and this is happening. No coaxing, no staging, just the two of them relaxing. I will say though, that Danny had just started up the weed beater and they were both a little nervous about it. I am surprised Benson sat there though, because he usually tries to get away when Ellie puts her arm around him. He must think he's being restrained and wants out!

Crib or Toy Box?

Benson didn't want me to get him out of his crib when he woke up from his nap today, so Ellie decided to entertain him with some toys. This was after about 20 minutes.
This was after about 40 minutes.
After close to an hour, Ellie wanted to join in the fun. I think I'll just leave them in there the rest of the night!

Not Done With Soccer Yet!

I couldn't resist putting this one up. Obviously, Ellie is the one trying to stand on her head.
