5 Months Old

I am five months old and so much fun. I giggle all the time, especially at Ellie when she pays attention to me. I also have really ticklish feet and can't control the giggles while Mommy puts lotion on them. I've figured out how to reach my feet too. My hair is slowly starting to grow in and is much darker than my sister's. My head is thankfully getting a little more round too. I rub and rub my forehead when I'm tired but still rarely get upset. I'm in size two diapers and my 6 month clothes are starting to get pretty snug. I still don't really enjoy eating cereal, but luckily I'll take a bottle without a fuss at all now. I love playing in my spaceship, and any toy that I can get half way in my mouth.
Ellie is back to being shy around a camera and will ignore you completely if you are trying to get her to look and smile for you. Today she was crying and very upset about Benson's photo shoot. She finally decided to sit with him, as long as she had her milk and cheerios, and sat still for maybe 30 seconds for a couple shots. Notice her red blotchy cheeks and eyes.
This one is not too bad considering the circumstances.

That's enough. I'm outta here!

Being Silly

Lights

Benson would rather eat the lights than look at them.
Ellie has a little nook in our Charlie Brown tree that she likes to spend time in and just look around at the "sparkle balls, candles," and santa ornaments.

Charlie Brown Tree

She had a great time unpacking all the boxes and discovering fun things in each one.

Benson looks so much like his sister did in that hat, it's a little more snug on him though!

Finally got that bell to his mouth, then it didn't fit!
Most of Ellie's effort went into taking all the tops off the balls, then organizing them back and forth from one box to another.

Such a happy boy.
Our Charlie Brown tree is almost done, with two different kinds of lights and a bare top! I need to run to the store for another strand, but only one of five didn't light up right. Not bad.

Tree Hunting

This year we drove up to BLM land in Bull Canyon, near Arbon Valley, for our Christmas tree. It was a beautiful, sunny day and pretty warm for December in the mountains.
Ellie sporting her new snow pants and her backwards hat. She insists on wearing her hats backward.
She will always smile for a photo if she can see herself in the phone!
Group shot before anyone got cranky!

After hiking about 20 yards packing the kids, we decided that Daddy would just find us one while the rest of us played in the snow!
Ellie loved eating the snow.
Benson has an awesome snow suit from the Montgomery's but I think it was even a little too warm because he didn't mind lying in the cold snow at all!
Such a beautiful day.
A long day for the little ones.

Santa Success

Festival of Trees at the performing arts center
She was nervously playing with her shirt.
So many pretty trees.
Silly face

We started with the easy one while we convinced Ellie to join him. Luckily there wasn't a line to see Sants yet, so we could take our time.
She wouldn't willingly jump on his lap, but didn't object once Daddy put her there.
We were pleasantly surprised how well it went! What an adorable Christmas card!
